Settings

The Settings tab is where you prepare your video for the world — its shape, its quality, its length, and the final export. Once everything looks right in the editor, this is the last stop before you download your finished video.

Video format (shape)

Choose the format to match where you'll share the video. Every format is one of three shapes, and AvoMap fits your map to it perfectly with no awkward cropping:

Landscape
16:9
YouTube and widescreen
Portrait
9:16
TikTok, Reels, Stories, Shorts
Square
1:1
Instagram and Facebook posts

There are ready presets for all the popular platforms too — each one simply picks the right shape above and names it for where you're posting:

YouTube
TikTok
Instagram
Facebook
Snapchat
LinkedIn
X (Twitter)

So you can jump straight to a YouTube video, an Instagram Reel, a TikTok, a Facebook Story, and more, without thinking about aspect ratios at all.

Quality

Every AvoMap video renders at a smooth 60 frames per second — always, whichever option you pick. What you choose here is the resolution:

1080p Full HD — 1920×10804K Ultra HD — 3840×2160
  • Full HD1920×1080. Crisp and great for sharing, with smaller files and faster exports. This is the default.
  • 4K Ultra HD3840×2160. Ultra-sharp, for the highest detail on big screens. Rendering in 4K adds 1 extra video credit and takes a little longer to produce.

Always 60 fps

No matter the resolution you pick, every video is rendered at 60 frames per second for silky-smooth motion.

Portrait formats — the ones made for Reels, Stories, and Shorts — export in Full HD, since those platforms don't accept 4K uploads.

Length

Your video's length is set by how long each part of your route plays, which you control on the timeline. To keep things smooth and high-quality, videos have a maximum length. If you reach it, you can shorten parts of the trip to make room for more.

Units

Set whether distances show in kilometers or miles, so your on-screen numbers match your audience.

Title and details

Give your video a title so it's easy to find later and appears where you'd expect. You can also manage general details about your project here.

Exporting your video

When you're ready, start the export. AvoMap builds your video behind the scenes — you don't need to keep the tab open and wait. When it's done, you'll be able to download it, and you can come back to your finished videos at any time.

Ready to render yours? Export your map video in the AvoMap editor.

Tips

  • Choose the format first. Knowing the shape up front helps you place overlays where they'll look best.
  • Preview before exporting. Play the whole video in the editor to catch anything you'd like to change.
  • Start with HD. It's quick and looks great; step up to 4K when you need maximum detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

What video format should I choose?

Pick the shape for where you'll share — landscape for YouTube, portrait for TikTok, Reels, Stories, and Shorts, or square for feed posts.

Can I export in 4K?

Yes. Choose Full HD (1920×1080) or 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) — both render at a smooth 60 frames per second. 4K is ultra-sharp for big screens and adds one extra video credit.

How long can my video be?

There's a maximum length to keep videos smooth and high-quality. If you reach it, shorten some parts of your trip on the timeline to make room for more.

Do I have to wait while it exports?

No. AvoMap builds your video in the background, and your finished videos are ready to download when they're done.
