Refer friends
In short
- Your link gives the person you send a discount on their first pack.
- You earn a share of everything they buy after that, paid out monthly.
- Links, stats and payouts all live in the affiliate portal.
On this page
If you know people whose trips deserve better than a phone gallery, you can send them to AvoMap and earn from it. Both sides get something: they start cheaper, and you get a share of what they spend.
Getting your link
Two places offer it. In the editor, the gift icon in the top bar opens the invitation. On the home screen, the referral card does the same. Get my link takes you to the affiliate portal in a new tab, where you sign up once and get the link that identifies you.
From then on the portal is where you check how the link is doing: clicks, sales, and what you're owed.
What each side gets
Anyone arriving through your link sees a welcome noting where they came from, with the discount already applied to every credit pack. Nothing to type in, no code to remember. The discount covers their first purchase.
You earn a percentage of every pack they buy, the first one and all the ones after. The rate is shown on the referral card in the app, and payouts go out once a month.
Who sees the invitation
The referral card doesn't appear for everyone. People who arrived through someone else's link see their own discount instead, and brand new accounts don't see it at all — asking someone to recommend AvoMap on day one is a bit much, before they've made anything.
Tips
- Send it with one of your videos. A finished route video explains AvoMap faster than any description.
- Point people at what they'd use it for. A cyclist wants the elevation profile; someone back from a long flight wants the route line between cities.
- Check the portal now and then. Clicks and sales are tracked there, not in the editor.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get my referral link?
Press the gift icon in the editor's top bar, or the referral card on your home screen, and choose Get my link. That opens the affiliate portal where your link lives.
What does the person I refer get?
A discount on their first credit package. It's applied to every pack automatically when they arrive through your link, so they don't need a code.
How much do I earn?
A percentage of every purchase they make, the first one and all the ones after. The current rate is shown on the referral card in the app.
When do I get paid?
Payouts run monthly through the affiliate portal, where you can also see the clicks and sales your link has produced.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
No. The commission applies to every referred purchase, for as long as they keep buying.
